AI Calling Scripts

Self-serve8–12 min readAI Follow Up & Sequences

The AI Calling agent places outbound calls using natural language voice with a script you configure. This module covers script design, call flow, and voicemail handling.

How AI calling works

The AI uses a voice synthesis model to conduct outbound calls. It follows the script, listens for responses, handles objections within defined parameters, and attempts to book a meeting or gather intent signals. All calls are recorded and transcribed.

Script structure

Opening (0–10 seconds)

State name, company, and reason for calling. Be direct. Example: "Hi [Name], this is Alex from [Company]. I'm reaching out because we help [vertical] teams [specific outcome] — I had a quick question about how you're handling [pain point] today."

Permission question

"Do you have 30 seconds?" — gets micro-commitment and filters out uninterested contacts before the pitch.

Value proposition (30–60 seconds)

One specific, outcome-focused statement. Avoid feature lists. Focus on what changes for them.

Call-to-action

One clear ask: meeting, demo, or "is this even on your radar?" — depending on how warm the conversation feels.

Voicemail handling

When calls go to voicemail, the AI leaves a configured voicemail message. Best practice: keep voicemails under 20 seconds. Include your name, company, one specific value statement, and a callback number. Never leave a sales pitch on voicemail.

Call + email same day = 2× reply rate versus either channel alone. Configure a call step and an email step on the same day offset in your sequence for maximum impact.
